Albay plans to move on from ‘Nina’ in a major way

Screw the effects of typhoon “Nina”; Albay is still determined to make an impact.

We learned from Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara’s Facebook post that the provincial government is tapping serious people in its serious bid to become “world-class”.

“Governor Al Francis Bichara met with Architect Felino Palafox, an award-winning urban planner and environmentalist to discuss technical details on Albay’s urban planning and development roadmap,” it read.
“Governor Al Francis Bichara and Legazpi City Mayor Noel Rosal shares Palafox’s vision to build a social and environmental renaissance through innovative, sustainable, and exemplary practice of architecture, planning, engineering and design,” the post further stated.

It should be noted that this meeting took place just two weeks after Nina ran roughshod over Albay.

We don’t know about you, but this is the best bounce-back from a disaster that we’ve ever seen from a local government unit.
