Sorsogon Mayor Sally Lee treats stranded passengers to a burger feast
There was a burger feast among stranded bus passengers in Sorsogon City last December 25 courtesy of Mayor Sally Lee.
It all started when the lady politiko tasked personnel from the City Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO) to check on the situation in local bus terminals on Christmas Day. That was also the time when typhoon “Nina” was running roughshod on the Bicol region.
Mayor Sally then ordered the distribution of food–yummy hamburgers to be exact–after reports came back that the passengers haven’t been able to eat due to their predicament.
Some 3,063 bus passengers were left stranded by Nina, which has been described as the strongest typhoon to hit Bicol since “Reming” in 2006.
